Who is E.VIL NYC?
E.VIL NYC is a group of completely normal people, who have grown tired of the B.S. out there in corporate America, and wanted to do something about it besides complain. The purpose of E.VIL NYC is to set a better example of how a business can be more responsible with how it approaches making money.
You see, E.VIL NYC was designed to be a business that networks to bring about ideas. These ideas are very valuable. But it's hard in this corporate world & global economy to actually make a living off of ideas anymore. That's why we've done what no corporation would ever dream of...
We've set up this business to sell merchendise specifically originated, designed, and manufactured here in the US exclusively by an online community. This is Web2.0! This means you can join us! Heck, anyone can join us!
E.VIL NYC is also selling merchendise to fund the online community project. This is a very expensive cost for a new business, so we are putting this very website out there to see if anybody wants to play with us!
If we see an interest, we plan on launching a completly new concept in online communities. Trust us, this online community is the best part of this whole project. We just aren't going to ask our founding Citizens to risk their entire life savings on it. Don't forget, a big company would never take such a risk...so why should we?

What is E.VIL NYC?
E.VIL NYC is a network of students, teachers, artists, musicians, athletes, engineers, advertising executives, etc. They have come together to make a statement.
The statement is simple. Big International companies don't really care about the "little guy." With that in mind, why should we care about the big companies?
E.VIL NYC was formed to make a new kind of business model possible and profitable. Our products are inspired by the public, and made through extensive collaboration. You don't buy an E.VIL NYC shirt just because it looks cool. You buy E.VIL NYC because it stands for something cool.
You'll always know who was involved with your purchase. You'll always get a story directly from the artist about the meaning and the intention of the work.

E.VIL NYC's merchandise is always affiliated with someone or something. This means that when you buy ANYTHING from us, we only take a percentage for basic operations like this website, current citizen memberships, and of course the development of our online community project. All of the rest of the money is shared with the affiliated organization in addition to the citizens who did the artwork.
This is the core of what makes E.VIL NYC so cool. You simply can't buy anything from a national retail store and know for sure what the artist who worked on that piece of clothing put into it. On top of that if you are buying designer clothing, the meaning of the art itself has become generic. In a big company there are simply too many people involved with the approval process of clothing for it to mean anything at all by the time we can buy it!

Where is E.VIL NYC?
In this wacky internet world, this is a good question. You'll be happy to know that E.VIL NYC was born out of a 250 sq. ft. apartment in the heart of the East Village, NYC. It was the sense of community of this area during the NYC Blackout that started the wheels turning for our founding Citizens. Having recently moved to the City, they found it incredible how positive and accomidating the whole area was, even in distress. There's something for everyone in the East Village. And this business hopes it stays that way for a long, long time.
When will the community project finish?
The community project is scheduled to be public in June 2008. Don't forget to stop by The City to become a citizen. It will take a day or two, because we are strictly using email right now. However, as soon as it is viable, we will launch into our server database phase to automate membership and enhance site searching capabilities. The community is just around the corner from there, so tell all of your friends, too! People who become citizens early on will have cool benefits and advantages!
